My name is Kathy Brown and this is my 10th year teaching at Eyestone! Prior to teaching at Eyestone I taught in Weld County for 6 years and I have worked in different areas of the education field for my entire adult life. I truly have a passion for working with children and guiding them in this exciting journey of learning!
I was lucky to grow up in the mountains of Golden, Colorado, and after high school I came north to attend CSU. I have been in northern Colorado ever since and I absolutely love living by the mountains. I have a wonderful husband, two amazing sons (17 and 14 now), and two big spoiled yellow labs. My husband and I moved to Wellington when we were married over 20 years ago when there were many dirt roads up here and no traffic lights! We love this town and it has been so exciting to see all of the changes that have come to Wellington!
Our boys love their sports, so we can often be found at the football field, the baseball field, or the tennis courts. We also enjoy hiking, being in the mountains in general, traveling, good food, and just hanging out enjoying time with family and friends. We are avid football fans so lots of football watching during football season. A few other interests I have are gardening, photography, and taking long walks. I just love to be outside!
I am thrilled to be teaching at this wonderful school! It's going to be a terrific year - we can do this, no matter what challenges we face! We've got this!
