Hello! My name is Kim Smith and I have been part of the Eyestone community for the past five years as a parent, PTO board member, substitute/long-term sub, and
as a para with the Integrated Services team. I am thrilled to join the 4th grade team on this new adventure!
I am a bit of an anomaly, starting my first year as a classroom teacher a little later than most ….. Ahem;) I completed my Bachelors degree with Valley City State
University while raising my three daughters in Cody, WY, and have spent the better part of the past twelve years working in schools in one capacity or another.
I was born and raised in Utah, lived in Wyoming for fourteen years and have called Colorado home for the past five years. When I am not at school, my favorite
thing to do is spend time exploring with my husband and our girls. We enjoy being outdoors, fishing, hiking or camping. We also love traveling and taking road trips and
try to visit a new National Park every year.
I love being part of the Eyestone family and am passionate about helping students find success academically, socially and emotionally. My goal is to create a classroom
community where all students feel welcome, happy and are challenged to grow. Ultimately, I want to encourage them to be good humans:)
